Hi, I am not a Mc OS expert. I have a Mac Pro 1,1 with MAC OSX 10.7.5, and my original DVD drive died. I happened to have an HP Lightscribe DVD640, and I installed it, but, its icon does not show up!
It is recognized by the system and Disk Utility, and if I insert a CD or DVD it reads it correctly, but when I remove it, there's no icon of the actual drive anywhere, so, I won't be able to open the drive to insert a new disc...
Insert DVD into the external disc drive for Mac or another computer that has an optical drive built-in. Step 2: Choose output format from the drop-down profile window. To play DVD disc on Mac, MP4 or MOV are both good formats as they're compatible with Mac default QT player or other programs. Burn DVDs and CDs with this Dell USB DVD/RW drive. Plug it into your computer's USB port to play and burn discs or to load new software onto the hard drive. This slim Dell USB DVD/RW drive fits into a tote bag, and it draws power directly from the computer's USB port for hassle-free operation. I set the Finder preferences to show CDs and DVDs, but nothing shows...
Any suggestion?
